They weren’t short of topics with plenty of debate and controversy to discuss with Sunday’s big Derby Day throwing up one or two incidents. In the Merseyside derby Everton were awarded a penalty when Dejan Lovren fouled Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the area with the Croat and his manager furious at the decision. Elsewhere Man City’s dominance of the Premier League continued with a 2-1 win against closest challengers United in the Manchester derby, but the game ended with unsavoury scenes with Mourinho allegedly having water and milk thrown at him. The Portguese manager was also unhappy with the decision to caution Ander Herrera for diving and believes his side should have been awarded a penalty.
There was also talking points at Selhurst Park, St James Park and Turfmoor as the panel review every game in the league whilst also delving into the Championship with David Coote and Jeremy Simpson under scrutiny….
