Full time summary of Jon Moss Referee and Team

CCT at 2017-12-13 23:03:56

At we discussed at half time then Jon Moss has gone to effectively manage this game by his reading of in particular foul / non foul and knowing when to stop and slow things down.

Key match decisions have been 1st half Eddie Smart`s correct offside judgement against Arnautovic 14th minute – to disallow the WHU goal. Achieved by Eddie being in the right position to judge and also with him showing a good focus and concentration for this key match decision.

38th mniute no penalty kick to WHU is correct as Jon Moss in a clear viewing position makes the right call. Confirmed by replay.

89th minute no goal to WHU confirmed by GDS.

90th minute no penalty to WHU correct. Achieved by a good and clear view from Jon Moss.

2 yellow cards was correct. No further disciplinary action required.

If you look at the 7 key areas that we discussed before the game then Jon Moss has ticked all the boxes for me in this game. Positive aspects have been Application of law, advantage with a number played as mentioned in my BLOG. Good communication throughout with players and his reading of foul / non foul.

Teamwork has also been in evidence as the Assistants played their part in their judgement of on field fouls and also offside was a positive aspect tonight.

Jon Moss is continuing to show an all round improvement to his game and for the reasons that I have highlighted in my BLOG and summary.

Good reading in that last passage of play by our referee, who is showing a good movement and positional anticipation of play.

76

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:35:50

Harry Lennard is also correct in his first WHU offside raised flag tonight.

75

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:34:15

Positive flag signal from Eddie Smart sees a gk to WHU the outcome. Correct signal technique seen here.

72

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:32:02

From the Arsenal fk a good save from Adrian as the ball goes out of play for a Arsenal ck.

71

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:30:56

Fk to Arsenal as NOBLE IS LATE AND CARELESS despite his pleas of innocence.

69

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:28:37

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:20:32

Good non offside flag by Smart against Giroud who`s arm appears to be in front of the 2nd rearmost WHU defender.

A player is in an offside position if:

  • any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the

halfway line) and

  • any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the 2nd last opponent

  • The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered

.

58

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:17:21

With the camera directly behind AR Eddie Smart it shows his very good positional movement along the touchline in line with the 2nd rearmost defender.

56

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:15:33

Arnautovic is spoken to by Jon Moss for getting involved needlessly involved with Maitland-Niles at a WHU throw in

54

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:13:27

Jon Moss is clearly a referee in confident form at the moment and this is showing in his decision making accuracy and management of players.

50

CCT at 2017-12-13 22:11:20

Eddie Smart is showing a real dynamic movement up and down the touchline, how this is in contrast to Harry Lennard who appears to be much more slower in movement along the touchline.

48

39

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:41:02

Replays show that the correct decision was given by Jon Moss no penalty kick and Gk the correct outcome. Correct Key Match Decision.

Fk to WHU following a signal by Eddie Smart on the nearside touchline. Good support seen here by Eddie.

33

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:36:54

Jon Moss is adopting a fairly straight on view and tends to slow up on the edge of the penalty area rather then move wide down the left channel which would create a better view and angle for his judgements.

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:20:42

FK to WHU following a shove by Sanchez, close to the touchline.

17

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:19:29

Monreal is late and careless in that last challenge as Jon Moss communicates this fact to players close to his position.

15

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:18:09

Arnautovic again offside and is a good judgement from Eddie Smart, who is in a good position to judge. In line with the 2nd rearmost defender.

14

CCT at 2017-12-13 21:16:49

Arnautovic scores what he thinks is a goal, only to look across and see Eddie Smart`s raised flag. No goal is correct and a good judgement from Eddie.

CCT at 2017-12-13 20:40:11

Welcome to this live REFCAM EFL game West Ham United vs Arsenal with a 20.00 hours kick off UK time.

Important game for both teams as West Ham strive to move away from the lower end of the EFL table and Arsenal look to move into the top 3. Plenty therefore at stake tonight for both teams and our 3rd team. Led by the experienced Referee Jon Moss.
